Episode CCXVI - 2009.06.24

Joe visits all the way from San Francisco to help co-host NLP this week along with Chris and Brendan (and Intern Willie), turning the Radio K studios into a veritable party zone. An interview with neo-classicist Johann Johannsson all the way from Denmark was also aired to hype his upcoming Wordless Music Series event at the Southern Theater this Tuesday night. As always, we managed to also stick in new tracks from: Proem, Worriedaboutsatan, Arms And Sleepers, Lindstrom & Prins Thomas, and CJ Boyd.

Brett Bullion aka Tarlton was scheduled to come in for a performance and interview this evening but unfortunately he had to cancel (along with some tour dates) due to illness. Luckily Brendan and Chris still bring some of his epic bedroom electronica (which will be performed live at the Wordless Music Series June 30th at the Southern Theater with Johann Johannsson) plus the usual variety of post-rock, ambient, neo-classical, and much more. Fresh additions to the NLP library: The Refractors, Signal Hill, Sleep Whale, Frontier, and Startle The Heavens.
